The Strategic & Missile Defense Systems (SMD) team is seeking an

Executive Administrative Assistant

to join our mission in Littleton, CO! In this role you will partner as the right hand to our Space SMD Vice President and General Manager. This role will involve initiative, diplomacy, agility, discretion and judgment in performing daily job duties and responsibilities.

In this dynamic role, you will:

  • Maintain calendars, arrange meetings, create travel itineraries and work with internal and external high-level customers
  • Decide for on-site and off-site meetings, conferences, teleconferences, video conferences, PowerPoint chart/agenda production and reproduction and coordinating badge access, as applicable
  • Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
  • Partner and work strategically spanning across multiple SMD locations and sites
  • Demonstrate initiative, discretion and tact in managing email, telephone calls and other requests
  • Ensure all correspondence is accurate, complete and properly handled.
  • Utilize personal computer and standard desk top software (full complement of Microsoft
Office Suite) to access Lockheed Martin systems, compose correspondence and create spreadsheets and presentation charts
  • Assure administrative detail on all projects
  • Update and status delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines
  • Pursue opportunities to change or lean out processes or approaches
  • Preparing and reconciling expense reports, submit catering requests, order office supplies and maintain office equipment, as needed
  • Determine priorities regarding non-routine situations
  • Receive and be executive interface for both domestic and international visitors and clients.
  • Perform additional special assignments as required partnering with the SMD Line of Business (LOB) staff and in support of the Business Rhythm
  • Look ahead on calendar to arrange prep sessions with applicable staff
  • Pass clearances as necessary and maintain certain clearance-related information, including international travel submissions
  • Assist in employee engagement events as appropriate
  • Have flexibility to work overtime as required

Basic Qualifications:


  • Ability to obtain & maintain a secret clearance
  • Experience performing Administrative Assistant duties
  • Experience working with executive level leadership
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience coordinating events (e.g., small and large multi-discipline group meetings and conferences, teleconferences, and/or video conferences)
  • Experience managing travel arrangements and completing expense reports

Desired Skills:


  • Advanced proficiency in other Microsoft Office Tools (e.g. ability to create graphs, pivot tables, automation, import/export information from one application to another)
  • Box, Slack and SharePoint experience
  • Familiarity working with Concur system
  • Solid understanding of Lockheed Martin policies and procedures, expense reporting, time keeping system, virtual meeting processes and policies
  • Team-player, excellent phone etiquette, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, with strong initiative and exemplary organizational skills

Ability to Work Remotely:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:


The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $67,800 - $130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
