POSTE

Louis Vuitton North America is searching for a Senior Manager, Logistics. This individual will be responsible for running and developing the transportation team. We are looking for someone that will be in charge of transportation vendors for Louis Vuitton Americas as well as the relationship with retail, corporate and 3PLs to ensure the products are delivered on time and in full to support the business growth and profitability. The Logistics Senior Manager leads key projects regarding sustainability and network optimization while leading and supervising the freight budget.


PROFIL

Team development

  • Share and communicate global Logistics vision and strategy to the team
  • Set challenging and achievable objectives and roadmap to the managers
  • Coordinate and handle resources (identify potential, mobility to come and jobs rotation opportunities)
  • Recruit, animate, motivate, train, and develop team and potential to guarantee efficiency

Vendor management

  • Ensure the transportation vendors are meeting their SLAs regarding sustainability, timely performance, lead-time, and cost
  • Push vendors to innovate and follow up on improvement action plans
  • Lead all aspects of tenders and business reviews

Budget management

  • Define the yearly freight budget based on business growth and logistics organization evolution
  • Supervise monthly the freight spend and report to finance on gaps vs estimate
  • Find opportunities of potential savings and challenge vendor billing

Project management

  • Lead the worldwide sustainability roadmap related to transportation (CO2 emissions, packaging waste…)
  • Communicate on Best Practices and Logistics Projects

Experience and Skills:

  • Shown experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations in Luxury or Retail environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Project management experience
  • Proficient in MS Office products
  • Sophisticated knowledge of Excel or proficiency with Excel with ability and desire to utilize: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering, conditional statements
  • Experience with importing and formatting different reports into excel for manipulation
  • Comfortable with analyzing big datasets
  • SAP and WMS experience a plus
  • Power Query and Power BI experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Comfortable with changing priorities and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Able to follow-up and give status updates on open issues and tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to accept new ideas, people and procedures

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $125,000 - $140,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions. This position is located at our Louis Vuitton Corporate Office in NYC and honors the opportunity for a hybrid on-site schedule.
