New higher Nurse Manager Wages!
Jones-Harrison is currently seeking an experienced RN Nurse Manager to join our team! The RN Nurse Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating the activities of nursing service ensuring safety, efficiency, and therapeutically effective nursing care.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Work to coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care
- Manage and assign tasks to nursing staff
- Assures Care Plan, medical records and other documentation are up to date
- Work with the Director of Nursing to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary
- Monitor in-house transfers, transfers to other facilities, and discharge planning
- Step in to support the nursing floor and provide direct patient care as needed
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and be licensed as an RN in the state of MN
- Current CPR certification
- Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience required
- Transitional Care, Long-Term Care, and MDS experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft programs and Point Click Care
- Working knowledge of state and federal regulations as they relate to long-term care
- Must receive a “not disqualified” criminal background result from DHS and may not be on the OIG exclusions list
- In accordance with CMS Vaccine Mandate, candidate must provide proof of Covid-19 Vaccine or submit documentation for exemption
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Adaptability and flexibility in dealing with changing situations
- Good organizational skills with the ability to self-start and follow through with initiatives with a minimal amount of supervision.
- Resident centered thinking, with awareness & sensitivity to resident needs, interests & abilities
- Committed to interacting professionally and with care toward residents, families, and other staff
- Ability to work with residents and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Adherence to follow all applicable policies and procedures, current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care
- Ability to work with residents and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Maintain continuing education credits as required
