Job Summary:

The Recruitment and Employee Experience Specialist is responsible for managing the talent acquisition of a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent across two (2) North America locations. They will focus on the employee lifecycle and work closely with business leaders to develop integrated talent solutions that balance the achievement of business goals with team members' development such as attracting talent, recruitment, orientation, development, and retention.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

Recruitment & Orientation (65%)

Support/Lead talent projects associated with attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce

  • Implement recruiting strategies that fit business needs and budget considerations
  • Researches and recommends new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting
  • Partner with key stakeholders to create job descriptions and identify recruitment strategies
  • Oversee the creation and management of requisitions, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing qualified candidates
  • Screen and vet candidates to include salary negotiations serving as subject matter expert and point of contact
  • Implement recruitment best practices, ensuring Materne attracts the best-qualified candidates and keeps in line with industry trends
  • Arrange interviews including locations, travel, and accommodations for applicants and managers when necessary
  • Partner with hiring manager on the decision process followed by the salary proposal, offer letter, and then extending the offer
  • Process personnel action forms and ensure proper approvals for events such as hiring, termination, transfers, or promotions
  • Update org charts on a monthly basis
  • Update talent acquisition, retention KPIs on a monthly basis
  • Administrative duties including but not limited to employee file maintenance and data entry
  • Find and participate in Job Fairs
  • Onboarding/Orientation
  • Continuously seek to improve and enhance the employee on-boarding experience
  • Coordinate background check and pre-employment drug screening
  • Input employee’s and positions into HRIS & ADP
  • Create organizational announcements
  • Schedule and coordinate with presenters
  • Prepare new hire folders and assigned new employee lockers

Employee Relations, Development, & Retention (35%)

Manage training tools, practices and programs to ensure the company’s high expectations are maintained.

  • Track and monitor the on-the-job (OJT) training progress for hourly employees and ensure that training program integrity is maintained
  • Ensure and facilitate the development and qualification of OJT trainers
  • Collaborate with plant departments to ensure that qualification checklists are current
  • Function as the site expert for Alchemy. Develop and implement Alchemy training courses as needed.
  • SOP binder management
  • Assist with employee relations initiatives
  • Conduct and track 30 & 90 day Engagement Survey to new hires and relay feedback to Supervisors or following up with the employee
  • Assist with turnover, attendance, and corrective action reporting
  • Regularly assess the plant climate and employee engagement. Make recommendations to improve and ensure a vibrant culture and good work environment
  • Consult with employees and plant leadership in raising and resolving workplace issues. Regularly assess the plant climate and employee engagement. Make recommendations to improve and ensure a vibrant culture and good work environment
  • Ensures fair and consistent application of policy, including disciplinary action
  • Assist with PAF management for employee referrals, retention, hires, and terminations
  • Support investigations and assist in ensuring timely resolution of workplace issues
  • Support the coordination and execution of annual employee events
  • Contribute to a safety-oriented culture by modeling safe behaviors
  • Provide support for administrative HR duties, including answering general employee questions, employee file maintenance, data entry, and KPI dashboards/reports
  • Lead or participate in projects to improve existing processes or introduce new, innovative solutions to business challenges
  • All other duties as assigned

Turnover, time to fill, employee/shareholder customer service and feedback, training/qualification timelines, orientation feedback, employee relations

Position Requirements:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or relevant field
  • PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCHRM-SCP Preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years of recruitment and/or generalist experience required
  • Experience in CPG, Food/Beverage Manufacturing, or Retail preferred

PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work in normal office conditions
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day
  • Must be able to travel via airplane within the U.S and internationally (10%)
  • Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and follow Good Manufacturing Practices to enter the plant manufacturing area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
