Creative Electronics and Software is searching for an experienced Quality Manager for our South Elgin, IL. Location. The ideal candidate would have prior Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment.

About the Quality Assurance Manager Position:

The Quality Assurance Manager is tasked to oversee the operation and continual improvement of the quality management system (QMS) to maintain ISO accreditation. To manage quality inspections on products and materials to ensure that they conform to the required standards and customer’s specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Manager will supervise the staff of quality inspectors for incoming materials and finished products based on established customer and product specifications and/or IPC standards.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Maintain awareness and conformity to ISO, quality, and ESD requirements, as well as operational procedures. Reporting on the QMS performance and opportunities for improvement
• Ensuring the integrity of the QMS when changes are planned and implemented
• Direct completion of all required supporting documentation and records to support the inspection processes
• Maintain and report on established company and departmental quality objectives and metrics
• Other duties and responsibilities to support the QMS include:

• Conducting internal audits
• Overseeing calibration of equipment
• Document control
• Complaint recording and response
• Control of nonconforming materials

• Replying to compliance requests, i.e. RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, etc., made by customers.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education / Experience – at least 3 years’ experience as a Quality Supervisor or lead. Electronics experience extremely beneficial
• Read and interpret electrical schematic drawings, specifications, and other documents
• Knowledgeable of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and IPC-610 standard
• Experience with most Microsoft Office products
• Degree (Bachelors) in electrical or mechanical engineering

Skill:

• Requires the ability to assist in determination of quality issues, both specific to products and processes and systemic to the QMS
• Good oral and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
