Summary: The quality technicians’ primary role will be to help in ensuring that all products manufactured are within internal tolerances and that our customers receive the highest quality products. The technician is expected to achieve this by completing robust inspections, documenting them, and alerting management with any quality concerns. The technician will be taught key customer requirements and standard procedures and will assist manufacturing in understanding them. This role will be production-based and work actively in production while completing essential quality duties.
This is a 3rd shift position, 11:00pm - 7:00am, Monday - Friday
Essential Duties:
- Ensure product dimensions are within specified tolerances and perform a fit test to ensure proper panel engagement.
- Ensuring panel aesthetics meet Kingspan’s documentation and documenting finished products with pictures.
- Acceptance testing- ensuring pieces are within tolerance before production.
- Inspect incoming steel to ensure they meet internal requirements.
- Production-related processes as needed.
- Monitor calibration of inspection tools, and perform calibrations.
- Containment of non-conforming products.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience with quality control experience is a plus.
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Other Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to work the night shift with occasional day shifts as business needs dictate.
- Must be proficient at using tape measures.
- Must be familiar with both metric (mm, cm, m) and imperial (ft & in) units of measure.
- Up to 5% travel to job sites to inspect customer problems and product issues. Usually day trips but occasional overnight stays are required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to do shop math, including addition and subtraction of fractions.
- Ability to multi-task and make use of time management.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work and communicate cohesively with both Management and production associates.

- Must be able to safely lift 22 kg’s (50 lbs.). Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
