Are you interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant?
We are pleased to announce that the Jewish Home has been approved by the NYS Department of Health to offer our own Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP). This Nurse Aide Training Program prepares trainees with the knowledge and skills to work as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). The training will encompass classroom, lab, and clinical experience to prepare learners about caring for the growing geriatric population.
Trainees accepted into the program are eligible for financial stipends when specific criteria is met. After successful completion of the program, trainees are eligible to take the New York State Prometric Nursing Assistant Examination, through Jewish Home of Rochester. Upon achieving certification, Nursing Assistant Trainees (NAT) will transition to the role of a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Jewish Home of Rochester.
You must be able to attend class Training sessions May 1st through July 6th, Monday through Thursday 4pm-8pm. Position requires a High School Diploma or GED (High School Equivalency). Upon course completion, The Jewish Home will require a commitment to a 1 year full time position on the evening shift (3pm-11pm).
