General Summary:
Monitors the Certification Department of Paratransit programs and processes for Paratransit Services to ensures compliance of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act (VRA) for Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Monitors and directs Certification Associates workflows to ensure compliance of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 21-day eligibility determination rule.
  • Provides customers with information on (ADA) as it relates to applying and recertifying for Paratransit Services.
  • Analyzes, Interprets, Trapeze reports to develop Paratransit Programs Statistics.
  • Monitors scheduled eligibility determination assessments and trip bookings for DARTs Assessment Center (DAC).
  • Scans and maintains certification records for filenet retrieval.
  • Responsible for records management and archiving of certification documents.
  • Receives, investigates, and responds to complaints, suggestions, and/or concerns relating to certification issues. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Allied Health Science, or related field.
  • Four (4) years progressively responsible managing/monitoring or project management experience in the certification of disability or mobility impairment programs or related environment.
  • Effective time management and organization skills to monitor and track projects or programs.
  • Effective written and communications skills to interact with internal and external vendors.
  • Analytical ability to review reports for accuracy, identify problems and reconcile report statistics.
  • Personal computer (PC) proficiency and software application to include word processing, spreadsheets, database, and PowerPoint.
  • Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively as first point of contact for DARTs external customers and internal DART.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
