This position allows a hybrid work schedule to include 50% in our Carmel, IN offices and 50% work from home.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Microsoft Systems Architect will be required to analyze computer systems, develop and implement repairs, modifications, and upgrades, and diagnose and resolve system errors or technical issues. Reporting to the Director, Global IT Infrastructure & Operations, this position will be a key member of the Global IT group supporting all of The Braun Corporation’s information technology projects and initiatives.

To be a successful systems architect, you should possess advanced knowledge of hardware and software systems and exceptional analytical thinking abilities. A top-notch systems architect should be able to effectively resolve technical issues and implement cost-effective solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:

  • Meeting with the Braun Corp management team to assess and define the system requirements.
  • Support aspects of the Braun Corp global computer systems for all Braun Corp business units.
  • Analyzing system data and infrastructure to determine inefficiencies and problems.
  • Developing and designing cloud and on-premise system infrastructure.
  • Overseeing the development, installation, configuration, and administration of computer systems.
  • Managing project timelines & documentation.
  • Assists in monitoring computer systems and network.
  • Assist in designing and implementing disaster recovery procedures
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Preparing system analytics, data reports, and operational manuals.
  • Develop knowledge base articles and work with managed IT services provider on Braun Corp systems.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in technology, protocols, and best practices.
  • Manage both internal and external certificate authorities, including external domain management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Familiarity with on-premise operating systems, hypervisors, and cloud based systems such as Microsoft Windows, VMware ESXi & Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience managing a hybrid on-prem/Azure Active Directory setup.
  • Experience creating/troubleshooting policies to manage endpoints with Microsoft InTune.
  • Experience with Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Sharepoint.
  • Excellent scripting skills with knowledge of Powershell preferred.
  • Knowledge of certificate authorities, DNS, and best practices around certificate management.
  • Microsoft 365 Exchange management experience.
  • Good knowledge of networking protocols, such as TCP, IP, and OSI models.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a similar field required.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of professional work experience to include at least 5 years’ experience as an IT infrastructure architect, systems engineer, systems architect or equivalent position required.
  • A combination of education and direct professional work experience equal to 12 years will also be considered.
  • At least one of CompTIAA+, Network+, Security+, or similar certification required.
  • At least one of Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Microsoft Technology Associate: IT Infrastructure (MTA), or equivalent certification required.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification preferred
