Responsibilities
The Business Intelligence Lead solves complex business problems using tools, technologies, applications and practices to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. The Business Intelligence Lead requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across departments and advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or minimum 5 years of technical experience in data analysis
- Minimum 4 years of leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing and mentoring junior staff members
- Experience in facilitating, consulting, and delivering complex concepts
- Demonstrated experience with cross departmental collaboration
- Ability to be strategic and effectively analyze complicated business problems and create solutions
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed enterprise
- Proficiency in verbal/written communication to senior and executive leadership
- Ability to integrate and coordinate content from various sources to establish deliverables for multiple stakeholders and hold others accountable for delivering
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Work-At-Home Requirements
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
- Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Graduate Degree in a management field
- Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams
- Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
Covid-19 Vaccine Policy
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health screening questionnaire.
