Job description
Medical Receptionist wanted for large, fast paced pediatric office. Applicants must have strong organization and customer service skills, be able to travel to locations in Oviedo and Maitland. This is a Full time position with some Saturday mornings. Pay will be based on experience plus competitive benefits after 90 day probation.
Job Summary
Warmly greet patients and facilitate the flow of the patient appointments. Ensure accuracy of daily journal payment postings. Prepare charts and tracking sheets for upcoming appointments. Schedule appointments, update patient information in EHR system, verify insurance, answer patient inquires, collect payments and other administrative task as assigned.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Check-in and check-out
- Update demographics
- Collect and post co-payments and balances
- Scan insurance cards, driver's license, and forms
- Communicate information and forms request via text message and patient portal
- Import forms
- Schedule appointments
- Answer phones
- Balance journals
- Chat preparation
- Verify insurance
- Work reports
- Assist patients as needed
Experience Required
- Front desk

- Medical office experience preferred

Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
