Mayflower’s R&D focus includes GPS/INS systems, adaptive space-time antenna control techniques, data link receivers, attitude determination and control systems, and wireless communication systems. All positions at Mayflower require US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD clearance.

Description:

We are currently searching for a Mechanical Engineer to design enclosures and test fixtures for Mayflower’s GPS/INS Products and R&D efforts. A typical day will include generating product requirements, designing components and assemblies, and generating the associated engineering documentation to produce components. Other duties will include inspection of R&D components, developing assembly guides, and fabricating components in house.

Required Skills and Education:

· 10+ years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on component design. Full product lifecycle experience is a plus.

· Ability to interface with cross functional teams

· Demonstrated proficiency with 3D modeling using SolidWorks (Preferred), Creo, CATIA, or Fusion 360

· Familiarity with SolidWorks PDM or similar product data management system

· Familiarity with ASME Y14.5, Y14.100 and ISO 9001

· Prior experience with developing and implementing engineering changes

· Ability to perform and interpret structural and thermal analysis of components

· Prior DoD experience and familiarity with MIL-STD-810 is a plus but not required

· BSME is required

· US citizenship is required
