Job Description


To manage sales promotion and administration for Dior Specialty Retailers. This position is responsible for managing at the headquarter level, the day-to-day and strategic planning of sales, marketing, inventory, visual, in-store fixturing and logistics. This position is responsible for managing the specialty planner. This person will also be involved in the development of seasonal financial and inventory plans and budgets. Financial and merchandise coordination of product launches, marketing strategies, and events will be a key responsibility, as well as driving our “in stock” position and profitability. This person is the key partner and liaison between the Specialty merchant teams and Parfums Christian Dior. Key Account level title will be determined by level of expertise.

Marketing:

  • Work closely with Parfums Christian Dior Central Marketing and New York Marketing teams to strategize new events and exclusive products and promotions for each retailer.
  • Work closely with Sales Management teams to plan aggressive sell thru strategies.
  • Collaborate and communicate with Field Sales Force in execution of basic and promotional calendar. For events, forecast and send out field support elements. Work with accounts to ensure ample stock to support events.
  • Communicate with Marketing Department on event dates, themes and results.
  • Communicate with Marketing Department on Catalog Style Outs: deadlines, comps, themes, etc., to ensure timely delivery of style out collateral to account.
  • Communicate and coordinate with account and Marketing Department on all Market Supported Events to ensure ample stock levels, collateral, and staffing to support events.
  • Manage the changes of focus and promotion for the as well as the art change.
  • Evaluate Staffing, Productivity and challenge all terms of business for each retailer.

Sales Forecasting:

  • Develop financial sales and stock plan by retailer and drill down to door level by month.
  • Partner with Sales Management Team to reconcile financial plans for each account with the total targeted goal of Parfums Christian Dior.
  • Participate with Sales Management Team in forecasting quarterly sales by sku.
  • Develop strategy for new launches: forecast pipe, initial sell-through, and annual sell-through for all newness.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage and negotiate best planning, shipping, and OTB plans for the account.
  • Monitor stock level by sku and door to ensure optimum inventory balance.
  • Monitor sales of new launches to ensure immediate reorders as necessary.
  • Communicate significant changes in sku item Forecast Team as necessary based on emerging trend or upcoming event.
  • Manage risk of overstock at door level, minimize RTV liability of the company. Manage all budgets.
  • Weekly meeting with accounts to review inventory balance, sell through of products featured in merchandising programs, and upcoming orders.
  • Monitor incoming EDI orders to ensure proper opening orders per allocation and shipping dates.
  • Communicate weekly with Planning and Forecasting Teams any opportunities due to sales trends or anything that will affect allocations.

Logistics:

  • Develop and manage positive relationships with buying and planning offices of our retail partners.
  • Weekly check of actual vs. forecasted sales and stock; work with accounts to increase inventory levels as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate the needs of Parfums Christian Dior to the buying and planning offices as it pertains to inventory levels, timely order flow, and general business support.
  • Create, plan, and implement new and existing sales initiatives on a seasonal and annual basis in conjunction with the central office and account.
  • Ensure all new doors have all components in a timely manner for opening.
  • Communicate to the Field Sales Team all visual, sales and program updates and timelines.
  • Execute tracking of execution of gondola updates for the Field Sales Team. Manage and upkeep tracking of Field Sales Team schedule of trainings, events, and store meetings.
  • Review Field Sales Team recaps and work with account on any opportunities (stock, training, merchandising, events).
  • Manage and upkeep all analyses of account: sales coordinators weekly results, new product tracking, stock and sales plan, weekly sales tracking for stores and .com, account overview seasonal grid, seasonal promotional plan, catalog yearly comparison and .com comparison.
  • Communicate with Field Sales Team regarding inventory, upcoming events, trainings, gondola updates and merchandising focus.
  • Coordinate, manage and ensure that all action points are met by deadline. Forecast all collateral and testers for assigned accounts. Be sure that the supply chain operates in an efficient and cohesive manner for the account.

  • Develop marketing, sales, allocation, and promotional spending guidelines for each specialty retailer.
  • Assign goals to each door and supervise the progress towards their achievement
  • Responsible for retail and net sales results through the management of allocations and promotional spending and managing all budgets.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of E-Retail, Omni Marketing and Sales Driven Expertise + Brick and Mortar Logistic knowledge.
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Travel up to 35%
  • Ability to analyze sales results and identify factors relating to business opportunities and risks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Elevated skills in partnership and negotiation for long lasting retailer relationships that drive attention and sales for the brand.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Team oriented. Ability to manage relationships across multiple departments internally and build lasting partnership and collaboration.
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, Work, and Outlook.
  • Handle all required administrative duties effectively, accurately and in a timely manner.

Additional Information


Salary Range - $89,000 - $176,000

LVMH Inc. uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay, while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance and tenure.
