POSITION OVERVIEW

TMC is seeking an experienced individual for our open Data and Reporting Analyst position. This role will work closely with the Enterprise Data & Reporting Manager to support and scale the functionality of TMC's enterprise data and reporting platforms. You will play a major role in developing data models and reporting solutions used by department leads to drive business process improvement and data-based decision-making. This role will have exposure to all aspects of TMC's core businesses, internal operations, strategy, and leadership team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Interface with and support various business units such as Operations, Finance, Leasing, and Innovation
  • Develop expertise in TMC business processes, systems, data, and reports used to manage operations.
  • Identify, address, and fix report usability issues to improve user productivity.
  • Audit changes to key reporting dimensions and update reports as needed
  • Run ad hoc reports to meet real-time data requests
  • Develop new reports, datasets, and data models for use on various platforms: Power BI, Tableau, Sharepoint
  • Train and educate users on how to use reporting systems, reports, and datasets
  • Maintain user access profiles, produce user guides, document systems, and procedures
  • Stay abreast of changes to systems and platforms used in TMC operations
  • Key deliverables include: reports, datasets, data models, automation solutions, user documentation, data transformation procedures

KEY SELECTION AND SUCCESS FACTORS

Work experience:

  • 5-7 years experience building, maintaining, or supporting a company-wide data warehouse
  • 5-7 years experience with report designers like Solver BI360, SSRS, SAP/Crystal, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.
  • 5-7 years of financial reporting background using programs such as SQL, MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau
  • Strong understanding of relational data modeling and use of metadata in reporting
  • Strong experience with Power BI Desktop & Service, Power Query, M and DAX
  • Experience deploying automated reporting solutions a plus
  • Experience developing solutions with SharePoint, Power Automate, HubSpot, and OneDrive a plus

Education/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a preference for Business, Finance, Real Estate, or Health & Life Sciences.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills
  • Likes to get hands-on designing reports for users, performing ETL tasks, and building data models
  • Able to go far beyond out-of-the box drag & drop wizards to build complex reporting solutions
  • Comfortable working in teams at all levels of the organization to deliver impactful results
  • Problem-solver who works at a fast pace amidst dynamic priorities
  • Designs solutions with end-user productivity in mind
  • Attentive to issues of access control, data sensitivity, and confidentiality
  • Takes full ownership and accountability for projects from initiation to closing
  • Performs duties with a spirit of collaboration, compassion and respect
