Data and Administrative Coordinator
Honors College

The Honors College is looking for a dynamic individual to join our student-focused team.

The Data and Administrative Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating data projects and managing information pertaining to various records and data systems for the Honors College including organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. Additionally, this position oversees daily administrative processes and policies while providing general administrative support for the college. This position will also manage special projects for the deans and staff of the Honors College

Example of Duties

65% of Time the Position must:

  • Manage and upkeep data stores and data integrity pertaining to the Honors College, including: recruitment, retention, withdrawal, graduation, scholarship and demographic data
  • Manage queries, analyze data, and prepare reports highlighting key metrics from university data systems, including: Peoplesoft, MyInsights, Oracle, Slate, and Perceptive Content
  • Provide general administrative support for the Honors College, including but not limited to:
    • Daily office communications and logistical support
    • Budgetary processes, contracts, and scheduling
    • Coordination for Honors courses, classrooms, programs, and events
    • Administrative support for Honors Deans
    • Special projects for Honors staff
  • Organize and participate in department meetings and follow up on important action items
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and deadlines while maintaining appropriate documentation for each project
  • Create a project management calendar for data reporting and processes

35% of Time the Position must:

  • Serve as an administrative Honors liaison to other campus departments
  • Implement ongoing departmental process improvement, procedural streamlining, and increased operational efficiencies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one (1) year of experience performing administrative work
  • At least one (1) year of experience with data systems or data management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to analyze data and create reports
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of file management and other administrative procedures
  • Inclination to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve program, department and university goals
Salary and Benefits
$45,000 to $48,000 depending on experience. This position is exempt from classified state service and the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission.
