SEEKING: Clinical Pharmacist - 100% Emergency Medicine

• 50% Nights and 50% AM Shift

• 7on 7off (80 hours in the week worked)

The region's only trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, NICU unit, and highly awarded in cardiac surgery and critical care. Serving as a teaching facility with medical and pharmacy residencies.

Being the only trauma and STEMI center in the area, there is an ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency for medical residents. Academic affiliated serving as a training site. The GME program has grown to two fellowships and six residency programs.

There are nearly 100,000 Emergency Department (ED) patients annually. Just under 100-bed ED. Recently completed a nearly 40 million dollar ER project.

• Antimicrobial Stewardship, Inpatient Anticoagulation, Anemia Management, Medication Safety, Pediatrics, NICU, Emergency Medicine, Pain Management, Critical Care, Oncology, Transitions of Care, Internal Medicine, Ambulatory Care

PHARMACY Team of 50 Clinical Pharmacists - 85% Residency-Trained and Board Certified. Pharmacy is a Decentralized Model.

OVERVIEW of the job:

· Decentralized in Emergency Department and responsible for all pharmaceutical services in the Emergency Department

· As a member of the multidisciplinary team; will provide clinical services and participate in code and/or trauma cases when received within the emergency department and assist in code situations outside of the emergency department.

· Emphasis is on a collaborative practice

· Take an active role in education and clinical projects

· Participate in multi-disciplinary rounding, clinic discussion, IRB, and/or service-line meetings

· Serve as pharmacy service’s lead and specialist resource for ED providers, nurses and staff

· Assist with development of cost-saving initiatives, quality and/or operations process improvements

· Preceptor

· Manages and develops clinical initiatives and determines therapeutic alternatives when drug shortages are identified

TOP COMPENSATION:

• PGY1 BASE HOURLY RATE starts at $75/hour and up ($75 is for a pharmacist just finishing the PGY1)
• PGY2 BASE HOURLY RATE starts at $79/hour and up· ($79 is for a pharmacist just finishing the PGY2)
• PLUS SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: Overnight Weekday Shift Diff $10.50/hour
• PLUS SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: Overnight Weekend Shift Diff $17.50/hour

• PLUS Tuition Loan Reimbursement
• PLUS $7,500 Relocation Assistance

REQUIREMENTS:

• Clinical Pharmacist (PharmD)
• PGY2 Emergency Medicine -or- PGY2 Critical Care
• Experience as an Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist in a trauma center >300 beds will substitute for a Residency
