TIME FRAME: JAZZ FEST EVENT DAYS

April 28-30 & May 4-7, 2023

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Pick up booth supplies in Fairgrounds Dorms and transport to booth for daily operations.
• Complete Cash Exchange transactions with patrons throughout Festival days.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe booth environment.
• Call for and document cash drops with Zone Exchequer throughout the day.
• Verify cash bills and identify counterfeit bills during cash exchange transactions.
• Properly secure cash in designated bags or protective areas throughout the Festival days.
• Communicate errors, issues, troubleshooting and any other important information to the Zone Monitor or Cashless Coordinator as they occur.
• Perform all other work-related duties, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Using the Absentee Request Form, it is the responsibility of each employee and their supervisor to accurately report their absenteeism to the HR Office.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive issues.
• Must attend and complete any required training.
• Any document, computer program, design or other intellectual property created for the Jazz Festival belongs to the Jazz Festival and must be given to the Festival through your supervisor or department head at the end of each production year, or upon request.
• Must complete all required Feedback Forms and Final reports

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Production experience.
• Cash handling experience.
• Comfortable working in fast paced and high stress workplace.
• Computer literate in Excel, Access, and Word.
• Basic accounting procedures.
• Some heavy lifting.

Spread out over two long weekends in late April and early May, Jazz Fest takes place at the New Orleans Fair Grounds Race Track, located just minutes from the French Quarter.
