Terms of Employment:
12 months/ 226 days per year. Salary is at the Administrative Program Pay Plan AP5 on the EISD Compensation Plan on a term or probationary contract, as applicable. Annual salary range is $74,750 – $88,988 based upon directly related experience.
- This is a grant funded position for 2 years. Continuation of position after that is contingent upon available funding.
Primary Purpose:
Direct oversight and responsibility for the effective development and implementation of district-wide services to address student acceleration including HB4545, High Impact Tutoring, Summer/Intersession Programs, After School Programs, Additional Days School Year (ADSY) and other programs directly and indirectly intended to accelerate student learning. Responsible for collaborating with district and campus staff to create and coordinate programs that serve to “close the gap” and ensure district compliance with state, federal, grant and other requirements. Responsible for the implementation, training, monitoring, and evaluation of identified programs in collaboration with other academic leaders. The coordinator will establish a climate of shared responsibility and shared commitment in supporting school communities in the implementation of evidence-based practices and programs and delivering comprehensive services.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
- Master’s Degree from and accredited four-year college or university
- Administrative experience in acceleration program
- Applicant must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the applicant, before continuing within the process towards possible employment

- Knowledge of accelerated programs best practice and campus operations

Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Supports after school, summer (ADSY), and intersession programming.
- Supports implementation of the TCLAS Grant.
- Develops district procedures and implementation protocols for HB4545, High Impact Tutoring, High Quality Afterschool, and other acceleration initiatives.
- Monitors process to ensure compliance and adherence to federal regulations, state guidelines, grants, and other requirements.
- Compiles, maintains, and reviews data as required.
- Coordinates, collaborates, and monitors with district and building administrators to design an individualized plan for each school that is focused on the implementation of High Impact Tutoring/HB4545 and ensure integrity of implementation.
- Builds collaborative relationships with administrators, and other staff.
- Serves as an advocate for all students by establishing systems to ensure student needs are identified and monitored.
- Plans, implements, and coordinates professional development opportunities.
- Conduct campus support visits.
- Assess acceleration efforts throughout the year and adjust in a timely manner.
- Update district written and electronic documents regarding HB4545 and other acceleration initiatives.
- Assures assigned campuses are following HB 4545 and other program requirements.
- Coordinates and collaborates with the curriculum, instruction, MTSS/RTI, and assessment team regarding research-based interventions for all students.
- Works cooperatively with principals and staff to define personnel needs regarding accelerated learning committees and accelerated learning programs.
- Provides oversight of Accelerated Learning Committees.
- Monitors instructional and managerial processes to ensure that program activities are related to program outcomes and use these findings for corrective action and improvement, as well as for recognition of success.
- Uses effective communication skills to present information timely and accurately.
- Attends state and regional meetings and conferences as required.
- Attendance at work is an essential job function.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
