Job description

A manufacturer in the East Hanover, NJ area is on the search for a Yard Jockey/Receiving Specialist to join their team! The candidate in this position should have previous experience in receiving, material handling, and/or moving trailers.

Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Drive the yard jockey: responsible to move trailers to various docks (on site only).
• Handle shipments: instrumental in shipping small parcel samples and ensure customer’s orders are accurate and shipped in a timely manner.
• Pick and stage: move raw materials for orders throughout the Warehouse/Production departments while maintaining accurate account of all transactions.
• Pull & store materials: re-label any pulled materials based on formula and batch sheet in addition to storing all material under proper conditions.
• Safety/Quality Compliance: Pay attention to and follow the department’s policies and procedures. Contribute to the overall safety of the department and ensure a quality product is maintained through compliance of all OSHA, AIB, HACCP & GMP guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent GED
• A CDL or prior yard jockey experience (preferred)
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a warehouse environment
• Capability to routinely handle and maneuver up to 50 lbs of material
• Ability to maneuver well within computer systems, such as SAP production system
