Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire, 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County, ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east. The Agency is headquartered in Auburn and carries out a broad range of responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation water and drinking water, production of hydroelectric power and watershed stewardship across Placer County. We are seeking talented candidates to join our team for the position of:

WATER QUALITY MECHANIC

$33.014 – $42.139 per hour, DOQ, plus excellent benefits

PCWA is seeking an engaged individual to join its Drinking Water Operations division as a journey-level mechanic to perform mechanical maintenance and repairs to the Agency’s water treatment plants, wells, pump stations, storage facilities, pressure regulating stations and related facilities. The ideal candidate will possess increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance of water treatment plant equipment, pumping stations and other related power-driven equipment. Possession of a valid California State Water Resources Control Board Treatment Operators Certificate, Grade 2 and a Water Distribution Operators Certificate, Grade 1 are required within 18 months of hiring. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship in welding or mechanical, electrical or diesel maintenance is highly desired.
