Schedule: This is a 3rd shift position. Starting at 11PM to 7:00 AM, start on Sunday evening and work through Thursday night/Friday morning, off at 7 AM.

Compensation: Starting wage $21/hour PLUS a $2.00 shift differential.

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Operator’s primary responsibility is operating a powered industrial forklift moving wallboard and joint compound around the warehouse. They will be responsible for loading trucks and railcars.

Additionally, they will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities for the operations in his/her assigned area. Follow plant, departmental, and job safety policies. Know, understand, and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of safe operating procedures, including housekeeping requirements. Knowledge and understanding of all quality procedures and guidelines. Communicate with previous shift regarding proper counts and any other issues. Be able to identify off quality product and report problems. Report unsafe conditions and correct immediately. Learn and use computer systems for Quality and Supply Chain reporting. Communicate with other associates and areas to ensure a good working environment.

Position Aspects

· Ability to work rotating shift schedule on an alternating basis (from days to nights, vice versa)

· Ability to report to scheduled work on time every day

· Ability to work nights and weekends when scheduled

· Ability and willingness to work overtime as required

· The positions require working in an environment that is hot in the summer and cold in the winter

· Employees are required to wear personal protective equipment that may include: hearing protection, steel toe boots, safety glasses, FR clothing, Hard Hats, and respirators

· Ability to lift, push, pull up to 70 lbs

· Ability to carry up to 50 lbs

· Ability to safely operate a powered industrial vehicle (fork lift, etc.)

· Ability to work productively as a member of a team

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Qualification Profile:

Education: HS diploma or GED required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
