Job description
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pack, unpack, and stock inventory in warehouse.
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, investigate and report any discrepancies of inventory before adjusting errors found.
Print address labels on UPS Worldship
Properly package supplies for shipments on a daily basis.
Print requisition forms on a daily basis.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse.
Clean and maintain warehouse and supplies in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors in a timely manner to obtain appropriate credit.
Check on a consistent basis on areas of need around the building (repairs).
Fulfill assignments given on a daily basis per the ticketing program (Issuetrak).
Reconciliation of the purchase orders.
Maintain an accurate inventory of laboratory and office supplies.
Minor repairs.
Assemble furniture.
Travel to different locations such as drop-sites, storage, hardware stores etc. on an as needed basis.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferably a minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse setting.
Must pose excellent verbal and written skills.
Must be able to type a minimum of 35 words per minute.
Some computer knowledge required.
Must be willing to work in a fast paced environment.
Display a professional manner at all times.
Work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Adaptable to changes in assignments and training.
Work efficiently within the team environment in all departments.
Adhere to all company regulations stated in the company hand book.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
