Alpine Animal Hospital of Alpine, UT is currently hiring for a self-motivated full-time Vet Tech to assist our trained veterinarians as they care for our pet patients. This full-time tech position typically works 10-hour shifts 4 days/week from 8 am - 6 pm. There is also a possibility for 8-hour shifts 5 days/week from 9 am to 5 pm. In this role, you can expect to earn $11-$14/hour, based on experience. We are an animal-loving veterinary hospital and believe that hard work can also be fun.

REQUIREMENTS

In this Vet Tech role, we rely on you to help keep our pet patients happy and healthy. Much of your day is spent assisting with routine and emergency procedures including assisting our vets with maintaining a calm atmosphere for our pet patients and their families. Our veterinarians depend on you to get labs and testing done for the pets we care for as well as help prepare and monitor them for surgery. Being highly attentive and detail-oriented, you help keep everything clean and organized so all resources are accessible and maintained. At the end of the day, you enjoy interacting with people and their pets every day and take pride in working with a highly respected and sought after veterinary hospital.

• Previous experience with catheter placement, ear cytology, blood draws, anesthesia monitoring, and x-rays
• Can stand for long periods of time
• Comfortable restraining small to large cats and dogs
