Overview
Triumph Integrated Systems is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial, military, helicopter and business jet markets. Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

A Mid-Level Calibration Technician is the second highest-level technician position within Triumph. The position requires knowledge of electronics, instrumentation, process controllers, and calibration standards. This position also requires the ability to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and recommend a resolution. These technicians will have the ability to calibrate equipment in at least three disciplines - and to calibrate some complex equipment in at least one discipline. This 40-hour salaried position supports multiple teams in West Hartford and Windsor, CT. The candidate will be responsible for the calibration of Triumph’s gages and for providing calibration backup to the physical and dimensional gage inspections of the Union side of our business. This role is expected to spend 80% at West Hartford and 20% at Windsor, CT. You will be interacting with Union and Salaried employees. You should be an effective communicator at all levels inside and outside of Triumph with a positive can-do attitude. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have PMEL experience or similar, graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and 5+ years of experience with calibrating electronic, dimensional, temperature, and pressure gages. Ability to work and schedule work unsupervised for oneself and lower lever technicians when management is off-site. ASQ Certification program is a plus. Must be ITAR compliant and a U.S. Citizen.

Expectations are but not limited to the following:
  • Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from manager
  • Must be able to explain calibration issues and processes to customers when needed
  • Able to conduct calibration work on site or in a lab setting with little supervision.
  • Maintain calibration standards.
  • Must be able to gather and process data review when necessary
  • Clean, Repair (minimal) and calibrate highly complex gages in lab
  • Accurately record the results of those calibrations.
  • Manage in flow of gages to and from external calibration sources.
  • Create new calibration procedures.
  • Revise existing calibration procedures as needed with management assistance
  • Keep work area organized and clean and follow all established safety guidelines
  • Work within a team structure to achieve company and department goals
  • Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.
  • Submit quotes to outside vendors, enter purchase order requests, track outside calibrations/repairs and anything else that is needed to satisfy our customer’s needs.
  • Up to 20% travel locally between sites. Qualifications
  • Electronic and Pressure gages not limited to; Hypot Testers, Temperature Controllers, Chart Recorders, Panel Meters, Pressure Gages/Transducers, DMMs, Test Sets, Power Supplies (single and 3 phase), Eddy Current Testers, Counters, Power Analyzers, Test Stands, ESD, Solder Stations, Volt Meters.
  • Mechanical Gages - micrometers, calipers, depth, height and indicating gages, threads plugs/rings, gage pins, ring gages, TD Gages (specialty), torque wrenches.
  • Must be familiar with ISO/AS Quality System requirements.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints with some technical assistance.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of management.
  • Must have basic PC fundamentals, knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.
