Shalik, Morris is seeking an experienced Tax Manager for a full-time position in the Firm's tax and advisory practice.

Tax Manager Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of client accounts and relationships including interacting closely with clients, provide quality service and timely communication
• Provide detail review of Individual, Partnership, Corporations, S-Corporations, Gift and Trust tax returns of varying complexities
• Provide tax planning, projections and research
• Provide leadership, supervision, training, and performance feedback to staff
• Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client’s businesses
• Work closely with Tax Partners to satisfy the needs with planning compliance
• Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
• Prepare research memos, written correspondence/guidance and other documents
• Manage multiple clients, budgets and production goals

Qualifications:

• Consistent prior CPA Firm experience
• CPA license, MS in Taxation preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Current with the latest relevant federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Strong accounting, tax and analytical skills.
• Technologically proficient and familiar with a fast paced and digital environment
• Experience as a team leader: supervising and training teams, coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback.

Software Experience Preferred: CCH ProSystem fx Tax/Axcess, BNA Income Tax Planner, Quickbooks, Excel, Adobe Acrobat and workflow system proficiency.
