E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a System Security Analyst to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command. NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other commands.

Job Responsibilities:

The System Security Analyst is responsible for developing and delivering the content needed to patch and mitigate flaws across multiple information systems. This is accomplished through reviewing vulnerability and compliance reports, downloading the applicable content, and compiling media to be delivered to the systems administrators for implementation.

Typical Duties Include:

  • Analyze and repurpose Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), NOTAMS, USCYBERCOM Technical Orders, Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and IAVA/IAVM reports.
  • Download and compile patch and firmware content for various vendor products such as Linux, Windows, and Oracle products.
  • Generate reports, summaries, and work items in multiple formats.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ ce)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in System Administration (Intermediate – Advanced), implementation of Windows and UNIX/Linux installation, configuration, and maintenance, in accordance with appropriate DoD policies and processes
  • Experience operating standard computer-based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel) effectively with a high degree of competency
  • Reliable, detail-oriented team player with a strong work ethic and a “will win” attitude
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the required level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing and maintaining systems within DOD environments and following RMF policies and procedures
  • Experience in research, analysis, and data de-confliction amongst multiple data sources
  • Willingness to learn new methods and systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • VCP/VCA certification
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience participating in and effectively contributing to a highly-collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative and to work independently
