Description:
As a Systems Engineer for Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), you will:
  • Provide guidance and training to the engineering team as a subject matter expert on the relevant tools and processes
  • Develop and maintain model-based methodologies for new technologies in support of MBSE activities
  • Establish standards and guidelines for model-based integration across multi-disciplinary modeling domains
  • Oversee system architecture and CONOPS, adjusting as necessary for mission success while performing system trades and analysis, flow down architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning
  • Perform and lead the team in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and efficiency analyses for total systems (analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal)
  • Ensure the logical and detailed conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions with consideration of technical, schedule, and cost constraints
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
  • Collaborate with government and customer representatives in support of critical space-based daily operations and distributed multi-element deliveries and activities
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM), or significant evidence of equivalent understanding of STEM.
  • Experience leading projects or teams within engineering capacities.
  • Knowledge or experience executing MBSE on programs or contracts
  • Experience using MBSE execution and analysis tools and managing model content
  • Experience applying SysML or DoDAF to Systems Engineering efforts and working with modern SysML tools
  • Experience applying Systems Engineering processes in a program setting
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
  • US Strategic Systems Experience
  • Ability to engage and communicate with myriad subject matter experts, in a variety of technical fields
  • An ability to navigate, understand, and interpret technical materials
  • Missile/Space Weapons Systems Experience
  • 8+ years with spacecraft architecture design, development, integration, test, with broad based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile and launch systems at the component through system level
  • Ability to lead multi-functional teams, build strong relationships with team members and build consensus among peers
  • Experience with Cameo/MagicDraw
  • Experience with IBM DOORS
  • Experience with OOSEM
  • Experience with DODAF (Department of Defense Architectural Framework)
  • Experience integrating analysis tools via Model Center
  • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
  • Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
  • Experience using Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e. g. Jira, VersionOne, Rally, Etc.)
  • Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering, or relevant Graduate degree
  • System Architect Certification
  • Active TS clearance

Ability to Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Craig Technologies facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Craig Technologies supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $82,200 - $157,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Craig Technologies considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
