SUMMARY:
The System Administration Assistant supports the bank’s IT by ensuring the security and operational efficiency of the bank’s infrastructure. This position proactively seeks ways to continuously improve processes, network security, services, and workflow efficiencies related to the bank’s IT infrastructure.
Provides Hardware and Software support by:
- Administer Workstation and User Group Policies for Enterprise Domains
- Provides enterprise-wide computer systems and peripheral support
- Works with customers to determine nature of technical problems then follow the problem until final resolution and documentation as needed
- Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
- Installs, upgrades, configures hardware/software and troubleshoots/maintains corporate PCs and peripherals
- Assists in coordination and planning for moves, adds, and changes of all PC hardware
- Installs and repairs wiring and cabling as required
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Documents procedures and trouble tickets with clear and concise explanations in a timely and accurate manner
- Other duties as assigned
Assists with IT Security (including Information Security) by:
- Assisting with the preparation of annual Cybersecurity Assessment Test(s) as required by the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) process and by the Regulators. This includes collection of required documentation of Major IT Vendors annually.
- Destruction of data stored on hardware and/or in software programs no longer in use by the bank, such as wiping hard drives of workstations, servers and copiers. If this is to be completed by a vendor – proper documentation confirming destruction of confidential information will be obtained.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support to the Vice President of IT on audits and exams
- Perform required bank training within the requested timeframes
- Build upon internal library of documentation, manuals and IT procedures
