Supply Chain Manager (SF-12929) I The Woodlands, TX (Metal Fabrication)

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 DOE
Description:

• Preparing procurement reports, approving purchase orders, and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services, while promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs by managing the procurement budget.

• Use historical data to develop budgets on shop and office consumables, review purchases versus the budgets and present KPI’s to executive team to control spending.

• Ability to Interview, hire, and train personnel for procurement and inventory related activities and educate staff on the procurement and inventory processes as they change.

• Planning and forming procurement strategies that are cost-effective, resourceful, and clearly identifies and presents cost reduction opportunities.

• Ability to manage and oversee direction, coordination, and evaluation of acquisitions and inventory for the facility.

• Skillful in negotiating with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms, best price and service.

• Stays up to date and analyzes the market for trends and takes action to proactively address potential supply chain disruptions.

• Procuring and connecting with reliable suppliers and vendors.

• Supervise and manage the IT systems that track inventory and shipments.

• Facilitate meetings with executive team regarding budgets, spending habits and outliers of interest.

• Execute risk assessments on potential agreements and contracts.

• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.

• Create a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement, inventory and receiving teams.

• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration.
• Proven Experience using supply chain operations.
• Experience using supply chain management software, ERP Systems, and other tools. Shoptech E2 or Jobboss,
• In-depth knowledge of preparing/reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
• Management and Leadership Skills.
• Multi-tasking with the ability to prioritize tasks.
