Job Purpose

The Supplier Onboarding and Diversity Specialist facilitates the onboarding of suppliers, including the categorization and daily maintenance of supplier records. The Specialist also acts as a member of Jackson's Supplier Diversity team.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Acts as representative on behalf of Jackson at external events and trade shows.

  • Relationship management and contact with various existing and potential vendors.

  • Researches possible vendors that are qualified for RFP’s, projects, and services that Jackson may need.

  • Creates, organizes, and maintains database of vendor information to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Responsible for setting up vendors in Oracle platform.

  • Establishes Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with vendors.

  • Point of contact for day-to-day vendor administrative issues while maintaining all required vendor documentation (NDA’s, COI’s, W9, name changes and supplier diversity classification).

  • Works with TPMO Department to make sure vendors are meeting SLA performance requirements and recording misses.

  • Assists in vendor audits when needed such as the annual Contingent Worker Audit.

Other Duties

  • Ability to travel as needed.

  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of supplier onboarding principles, practices and procedures.

  • Broad knowledge of MS Word, Access and Excel and department specific software.

  • Ability to learn new systems and keep on top of technology changes to provide information to Jackson leadership.

  • Knowledge of local and national laws, regulations and standards associated with suppliers and supplier diversity.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, report organizational findings, establish facts and draw conclusions.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently solve problems creatively.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of related work experience required.

  • Supplier Diversity designation from accrediting agency/institute within two years of hire required.
