Job description
Upper Crust Food Service and College Chefs is looking for motivated and responsible Chefs with High Volume, Production experience. The position requires the ability to facilitate the duties and responsibilities of creating, implementing, and maintaining the culinary needs for the Camp Food Service Program, providing the camp with clean, comfortable surroundings, ensuring correct timing, quantity and that the quality is accurately provided for all meal periods and special requests. This position requires an outgoing personality and willingness to engage with both front and back-of-the-house staff, camp directors, managers, leaders, specialists, and diners. The Chef will prepare meals from scratch and oversees food production work and supervises the kitchen operation. This position requires leadership, independence, and the ability to adjust to changing conditions.

Attend related in-service training and staff meetings as required
Builds menus with collaboration from the Camp and Camp Manager
Assists in writing schedules to ensure meal periods are adequately staffed
Ensures that production is accurate in timing, quantity, quality, and plate up requirements
Understands the importance of cross utilization
Estimates production needs, requisitions adequate supplies, and maintains inventory of supplies
Places accurate food orders ahead of time, keeping within allotted budget
Ensures kitchen and equipment are maintained according to proper health and sanitation requirements
Teach and enforce safety regulations
Specialized Food Preparation for events
4+ years High Volume Commercial Kitchen Experience
