Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Sr. Writer and Thought Leadership Lead.

We are seeking a storyteller to serve as the voice of Schneider Electric and our North American executives to help bring to life our story as America’s decarbonization partner. Responsible for advancing our story with key external stakeholders (our customers, members of the press and key decision makers in business and government), nailing the story is critical. Expertly crafting our company’s narrative around themes like sustainability, decarbonization, energy management and efficiency requires a deep passion on the topics, and a deep understanding of the industry and external forces impacting these conversations. A journalist at the core, and passionate about topics related to the ever-changing energy landscape of the United States, the successful candidate will lead content creation for our Executive Leadership team, our US Brand programs and our Thought Leadership practice.

As a Sr. Writer & Content Strategist they will work hand-in-glove with key members of our executive team, including our NAM CEO, CMO and other senior strategic subject matter experts to develop marketing strategies and content for all customer-facing marketing messages. This content will help drive the visibility of our brand and vision at the highest levels of conversation in the US – across top TV and written publications, in conversations with top C-Level stakeholders for our business and throughout our owned communication channels.

What will you do?

  • Lead the thought leadership practice for Schneider Electric in the United States, crafting the stories that Schneider has the right to own and influence with.
  • Deliver concise, effective narratives for use in multiple formats across external engagements (press opportunities, keynote speeches and top customer interactions) and influential conversations (government and business leaders)
  • Collaborate with internal and external agencies and business partners to determine creative strategy, concepts, and direction of branding and marketing initiatives
  • Ensure all content created speaks to the values, brand and vision of Schneider Electric, connecting messages across formats, deliverables and speakers to ensure consistency and stickiness.
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • 5+ years experience covering and writing in the fields of sustainability, energy, clean tech, business, or other similar topic(s)
  • Experience creating content across several disciplines (editorial, thought leadership, podcast, executive comms, blog, social, etc
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business or related disciplines.
