Position: Shipping/Skidding Position(1st Shift)
Location: New London, WI
- Responsibilities Include:
- Skidding all types and sizes of conveyors that are ready for shipment
Prepares shipments; selects appropriate shipping container; packs items to ensure safe delivery.
- Place items into containers using fillers, spacers, protective padding and straps
- Builds skids for shipments in a safe efficient matter
- Keep track of all necessary paperwork and quality documentation that goes with shipments
- Inspects shipments for damage or defects; records discrepancies and notifies supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
- Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Loading and unloading of materials into the freight arrangements to meet customer requirements
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Prior experience in a shipping/ Receiving Department
- Forklift experience/ Certified a plus
- Wood Working Experience
- Excellent problem solving skills with a hands on positive attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
