Position Title: Mortgage Servicing Clerk

THIS POSITION IS ON-SITE at our Loan Department located at 2566 Brandt School Road in Wexford, PA. IT IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION.

Job Responsibilities:

Customer Service -

• Serve as initial point of contact for our lending program
• Act as a liaison between borrower, underwriter, loan originator and lender
• Provide customer with timely and periodic status updates of their loan application
• Return all inquiry calls within one business day
• Customer Intake and Data Entry
• Process loan payoff requests
• Prepare mortgage satisfaction pieces for filing
• Prepare UCC-1 and UCC-3 forms for filing
• Collect required documentation from applicants and follow up on missing items
• Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records, and/or other documents for recurring internal reports
• Order various reports including credit, flood, property, appraisal and title reports
• Compile documents for customer files and enter inputs to loan origination and core processing systems
• Assure that all customer files are complete and in compliance with regulatory agencies and internal policies
• Ensure customer privacy, security of files, and appropriate staff access

Administrative Support

• Prepare commitment letter(s), denial letter(s) and cancel files when necessary
• Maintain pipeline report and notify management of status as needed
• Process the documents received for each file, verifying the accuracy and completeness of each document
• Prepare request documents for wiring funds for loan closings
• Timely disbursements of insurance and real estate taxes from loan escrow accounts
• General clerical duties including opening/sorting mail, typing various documents using Microsoft Word
• Make recommendations for procedural changes to increase efficiency
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Computer skills require data entry using PC and Fiserv mainframe application core processing system
• Knowledge of basic lending, real estate contracts and language, foreclosure, and delinquent accounts
• Excellent customer service skills -- in person and on the phone
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions
• Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Excellent records and file management skills
• Knowledge, skills, and experience using MS Word, Excel, and E-mail
• Knowledge of basic accounting processes and procedures
