Job Description:

  • Takes resident(s) meal orders and serves meals correctively and efficiently using exceptional customer service techniques.
  • Completes various tasks designed to ensure the dining room and kitchen areas are fully stocked and prepared to serve Residents.
  • Assists with set up and cleaning of kitchen and dining room before and after each meal.
  • Delivers trays to rooms of those residents who request room service.
  • May perform all kitchen helper and dishwasher duties as needed.
  • Uses proper lifting practices at all times.
  • Assists in seating residents.
  • Demonstrates ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions, solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables. This may require the ability to interpret instructions given in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
  • Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner. Functions independently with integrity, flexibility and works well with residents, personnel and support agencies.
  • Complies with community policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures, emergency response and safety protocol.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures related to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPPA).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Employee Handbook and complies with the policies in the Handbook.
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

Working Conditions:

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.  Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions.

  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers and residents.
  • Standing/walking/Mobility-to ensure you are able to reach above his/her head and perform repetitive movements on feet over long distances
  • Lifting/Pulling/Pushing-must have finger dexterity to open containers.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.55 per hour

Experience:

  • Restaurant experience: 1 year (Preferred)
