Job Description
The Senior Safety Systems Analyst serves as the business administrator for the Global Patient Safety (GPS) systems including the Global Safety Database (Argus Safety), PV Reports, Veeva SafetyDocs, OBIEE, and Empirica Signal. This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance and business function operational support of the applications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design, configuration and implementation of respective system upgrades
  • Creating basic custom and ad-hoc reports to meet growing business needs
  • Work closely with GPS management and business users to understand requirements and recommend solutions
  • Daily troubleshooting and problem resolution for end users
  • Ongoing application administration tasks, coordination of the change control process to ensure timely development and testing and release of updates
  • Other projects and activities requested of department management
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Possesses good knowledge of Reporting Tools (Crystal Reports, OBIEE or equivalent)
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Database knowledge working with Oracle SQL is required.
  • Hands-on analysis and application support experience in a Windows O/S application environment supporting multi-tiered application architecture to include web based application clients
  • Experience in drug safety and/or data management with knowledge and experience with Argus Safety, or a comparable commercial safety database/system, including configuration/operational support
  • Familiarity with GCP, FDA, EMA regulatory requirements as they apply to pharmacovigilance and working knowledge of database design and system life-cycle concepts
  • Familiarity with Signal Detection tools (e.g., Empirica, Multi-item gamma Poisson (MGPS), etc. )
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (computer sciences or related scientific engineering fields) or a technical degree
  • Typically requires 1-3 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Pay Range: $96,000-$144,000 USD annually
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
