Job Description

The Senior Climate Resiliency and Sustainability Consultant will support a direct client in New Hampshire with a yearlong contract surrounding the creation of a foundation for all climate resilience projects and goals for the next 50 years. This will utilize the existing Coastal Resiliency Initiative (CRI) in tandem with new adaptation efforts to create systems to assist with benchmarking, policy evaluation, and progress tracking.

Responsibilities:
  • You will contribute to creating a plan that will serve as a foundation for all climate resilience projects and goals for the next 50 years.
  • Increase renewable energy systems and incorporate renewable energy requirements into city regulations
  • Lead community organizing and CAP Engagement
  • Develop strategies for emission reduction goals
  • Update emissions forecasting
  • Prioritize analysis of updated strategies
  • Develop short and long-term funding plans
  • Develop tools for monitoring and communicating CAP progress post-plan
  • Lead Post-plan engagement and community outreach
Qualifications:

4+ years of experience developing climate resilience projects


Demonstrated experience in renewable energy systems


Demonstrated understanding of climate community outreach and engagement


Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Education


Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Climate Sustainability, Energy Efficiency or similar fields.

Certifications


No certifications are required.

Travel Requirements:
This position will involve no travel.
