SENIOR CAD TECHNICIAN
Senior CAD Technician is part of the civil engineering design team involved in a variety of private and public sector projects, including residential subdivisions, public infrastructure improvements (TxDOT) (i.e., drainage, water, etc.), as well as site development projects involving parks, schools, churches, hospitals, and retail/commercial centers. The position is a lead technical support role in the Katy office.
Position Requirements: At a minimum, candidates must meet the following educational, professional and personal requirements:
Education/Certification
- High School graduate or GED required
- Post-high school technical coursework, certification or degree in computer drafting/design or related field preferred
Professional
- Responsive and results oriented in service to clients.
- 8-10 years of civil CAD experience and understanding on a variety of projects including residential subdivisions, public infrastructure improvements (emphasis on drainage design), site development projects involving parks, schools, churches, hospitals, and retail/commercial centers.
- Proficient in the latest version of Microstation/ORD, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to develop solid working relationships with other team members.
- Ability to quickly adapt to and adopt new CAD standards and procedures.
- Commitment to quality in the design and presentation of drawings.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
Responsibilities require being actively engaged in plan production and design of projects. More specifically, responsibilities include:
- Using established CAD standards to prepare electronic drawings from development to plan submittal.
- Oversight of CAD systems management, refinement and evolution of standards.
- Organizing and scheduling your own work, and at times, the work of other team members to accomplish project goals within established budgets and schedules.
- Coordination with engineers and other design team members.
- Plotting and assembling construction plans.
Compensation/Benefits:
Compensation includes competitive base salary, supplemental pay for additional hours worked, and year-end performance-based bonus opportunities.
