Summary: Entry Level role that will research, plan and apply security measures to protect the organization’s computer networks, systems, and user identities. Use technology such as a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) to monitor and report on threats that are occurring or have occurred.

Primary Duties:

• Monitor SIEM alerts for security breaches and investigate when one occurs
• Proactively search for security breaches as well as any other issues found within the environment
• Test, Install, and use software such as firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, Web Filters, and Email filters to protect sensitive data
• Prepare reports that document security breaches and their impact to computer networks
• Research the latest information technology security trends
• Develop security standards and best practices
• Recommend security enhancements to management
• Educate employees on new security policies and procedures
• Assist with maintaining data classification policies
• Discover and report on hardware and software configuration issues
• Perform risk analyses and security assessments
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
• Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem, think abstractly for solutions, and work diligently to resolve the problem.
