Job Description

Wyndham Palmas Beach & Golf Resort is looking for a Security Officer responsible for provides security to hotel’s guests, visitors, team members and property. He/she will responsible for enforcing the hotel rules of conduct and discipline and ensures that all safety standards are followed.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the overall operation of his/her assigned post or perimeter according to the instructions provided by the supervisor.
• Inspects the hotel premises and informs any irregularity to management (example: signs of intrusion on back-of-the house areas, emergency stairways, executive and administrative offices, etc).
• Responds to all alarms (false or true) and investigates disturbances.
• Apprehends or detains unauthorized persons on the hotel premises.
• Prepares reports on all incidents and/or accidents involving hotel guests and/or associates.
• Reports to management any safety hazards.
• Checks associates’ bags, toolboxes and purses entering or leaving the hotel premises. Inspects expiration dates on all fire extinguishers.     

Required Skills/Abilities

• Basic knowledge in security and safety operations in hotels
• People oriented
• Able to work well under pressure
• Good communication skills in English and Spanish

Education and Experience

• High school graduate

• Minimum of two years of previous loss prevention or security hotel experience

• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 per hour
