City Floral Greenhouse and Garden Center located in the heart of Denver, Colorado is a nursery and garden center guaranteed to accomplish all of your gardening goals. Discover everything you want and need for your garden or landscape, no matter how big or small, within our extensive garden center store.

City Floral is hiring seasonal cashiers. The position involves processing all financial transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position plays a fundamental role in achieving customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives.

Essential Functions and Duties

· Process all customer purchases and operate the registers in accordance with point-of-sale system operating procedures.

· Accurately scan goods and collect payments, redeem coupons, and make change.

· Make sales referrals, cross-sell products and introduce new products.

· Greet customers when entering or leaving establishment.

· Bag, box or wrap purchase with care.

· Provide pleasant customer service to ensure satisfaction.

· Stay current with all sales and new products, validate price.

· Handle refunds and exchanges while maintaining a friendly disposition.

· Clean and maintain work area per sanitation protocols.

· Be willing to assist other departments.

· Answer phones in a timely and pleasant manner.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

· Proven working experience in retail cashier or sales.

· Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g., POS registers, scanners, credit card machines, radios, etc.)

· Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills.

· Attention to details and basic mathematical skills.

· Must be able to stand and/walk for at least an 8-hour period.

· Must have reliable transportation and be dependable.

· Must be able to work weekends, overtime, and 6 days a week when required.
