Now hiring for Full-Time Scheduling Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Scheduling Coordinator will coordinate the scheduling of nursing and household staff in accordance with current federal, state and local guidelines and regulations. In addition, following Fairport Baptist Homes’ established policies and procedures to meet the needs of Residents on an individual basis.
Essential Job Functions Include:
- Assist in developing and coordinating a master schedule for all nursing and household staff to ensure appropriate coverage for each household twenty-four hours a day.
- Follow general guidelines for staffing of holidays and vacation coverage.
- Post and distribute schedules in a timely manner.
- Receive call-ins of nursing or household staff and coordinate replacements as needed.
- Maintain current files of agency personal in case staffing needs are below safe levels and unable to fill with FBH staff.
- Approve and sign agency time slips at end of shifts.
- Ensure scheduling office is covered in your absence.
- Billing – Assures completion by Scheduling Assistant to:
- Check weekly staffing sheets to ensure accuracy of information for payroll.
- Review agency bills and verify hours to include coding of account before submission to business office.
- Return copy of approved billing invoice for scheduling office files.
- Assume additional duties as needed and assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Work closely with all staff to uphold and further the Mission, Vision, and Values of FBH. Be creative and have fun. Be a cooperative team player to ensure the needs of our Residents.
Requirements:
Education: Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma.
Experience:
Secretarial and computer skills required.
Time management skills are a must.
Business/secretarial or equivalent experience with a medical focus preferred.
Scheduling in a health care facility preferred.
Qualifications:
Excellent phone, written, and verbal communication skills to deal effectively with Fairport Baptist Homes’ staff and outside agencies.
Must possess the ability to examine and verify staffing schedules and reports.
Must be able to prepare staffing schedules and other records in a systematic, neat, and legible manner.
Must have good organizational skills.
Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with all staff as well as outside agencies.
