Position Summary:

The Sanitation Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all equipment after production to ensure food safety, managing the clean-up of all other production areas according to the requirements and procedures of the department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Hand wash equipment with chemical cleaner and wipe equipment

· Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to specifications

· Use vacuum cleaner and air gun to clean equipment

· Sanitize production lines after cleaning

· Remove garbage from production area

· Gather and empty trash

· Clean floor mopping, sweeping, scrubbing or vacuuming

· Keep sanitation equipment/room clean and tidy

· Service and clean restrooms if assigned

· Clean and polish furniture and a variety of surfaces as assigned

· Notify supervisor of any needs for repairs

· Ensure food safety and quality

· Other duties may be assigned

Education & Experience Required:

· High school diploma, GED or equivalent

· Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively and efficiently

· Ability to speak, read and write English

· Must be able to work with chemicals and other cleaning agents

· Able to stand and walk around for long periods of time

· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

· Able to work shift work including graveyard shifts and weekends as required

· Ability to learn our business, be a team player and enjoy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.53 per hour
