Responsibilities
- Performing audits of daily activity, including fills/credits and enterprise gaming system (EGS) jackpots.
- Verifies coupon and gift certificate redemptions.
- Reconciles certain general ledger accounts.
- Reconciles cage and accounting copies of paid jackpot and fill tickets to accounting system and cash dispensing kiosk reports; investigates variances.
- Prepares daily exception reports for variances and unusual activities; reports to operating departments for follow-up and resolution.
- Assists both internal and external auditors as necessary.
- Performs periodic machine audits to verify validity of machine meters.
- Troubleshoots unusual EGS activity such as high and low hold percentages, jackpots, etc.
- Develops daily operational reports for management.
- Assist in periodic cash inventories.
- Ensures that all state gaming regulations and policies are followed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' previous accounting or audit experience preferred.
- Associate degree in accounting or equivalent education or experience preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain state gaming license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with a casino data system helpful.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem solving skills, ability to analyze data and to do a high volume of accurate work.
- Proficient computer skills including e-mail, word processing, spreadsheets, routine database activity, and record keeping.
- Must work across departmental lines with other managers and senior staff.Must work well with all associates, the general public, and vendors as required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds, as needed.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
