Role: Release Manager

Location: Plano, TX

Job Description:

Role: Release Engineer with Strong understand of AWS and Azure Cloud Platform

· Prepare and manage release plan in coordination with Product Owners, Factory/Assembly line Teams, and supporting departments (Integration, Infrastructure, Security, Support/Operations, etc.).

· As a Release Engineer, you will work on implementation of application enhancements/changes; support release management including the verification and final production acceptance review and signoff; own the issue resolution process for any application problems.

· You'll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives.

· Facilitate infrastructure modernization through DevOps and CI/CD tool chain adoption and implementation

· Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases

· Work with development teams and ensure entry criteria is met before accepting the changes or requests.

· Manage relationships and coordinate work between different factories/teams.

· Communicate release plan, deployment, and post-implementation status with stakeholders.

· Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget and meet or exceed expectations.

· Own and continually improve the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve process or automation.

· Maintains the release schedule for factory/assembly line and ensures alignment across key partners and vendors.

· Lead and co-ordinate the Go-Live activities, including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists.

· Participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks.

· Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews.

· May include some supervisory responsibilities and/or direct work to vendors and consultants.

· Manage /create Github branches for a particular Release cycle.

· Work closely with development staff to resolve build problems and merge conflicts.

Qualifications:

· 4-year degree or equivalent relevant work experience.

· A strong background and hands on experience with AWS and Azure Cloud.

· 7 or more years of progressive, broad-based IT experience participating in projects and playing a key role in successfully implementing the projects.

· Experience supporting a “High Touch” customer with real-time needs and requirements.

· Experience working in cross-functional or cross-organizational teams.

· Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology of product delivery.

· Experience with Agile collaboration and task management tools (Jira).

· Hand-on experience with cloud-based applications, technologies and tools, deployment, monitoring and operations

· Ability to clearly articulate ideas, problem/solution/business value descriptions that can be understood by a broad audience in a time sensitive environment

· Experience with issue resolution processes for application production problems

· Prioritizing and managing implementation of enhancements/changes to multiple applications

· Proven ability overseeing installations and Release Management including the final production acceptance review and signoff

· Full life cycle experience within an Agile framework

· Mission critical systems experience in a globally distributed framework

· Best practices in infrastructure and application logging, monitoring, intelligent alerting, test automation and automated self-healing

· Experience with DevOps model and tools

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110.00 - $120.00 per year
