Chemours is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Expert, North America to join our growing Product Sustainability team! This position will report directly to the Regulatory Compliance Manger at our Wilmington, DE (USA) location.
As a Regulatory Expert, you will be part of a close-knit team of motivated and energetic professionals where you will contribute to Chemours’ success to ensure substances we offer in the USA and Canada comply with the applicable regulations.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

As a key member of the North America Product Sustainability Team your primary responsibility will be for well defined, specific aspects for chemicals regulated under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) by the U.S. EPA, under the Canadian Environmental Protections Act (CEPA) by Environment and Climate Change Canada, and under various US States regulations

You will collaborate with the Product Sustainability Team and our different business unit stakeholders to understand their present requirements & future needs, identify opportunities, develop, implement, and execute operational objectives and workplans for compliance requirements

Be responsible for translating the requests from our internal customers towards the current and proposed regulatory requirements

Be responsible to respond to regulatory compliance inquiries and to perform periodic reviews and evaluations to validate compliance with applicable regulations

You will monitor, conduct impact assessments and communicate regulatory changes relevant to Chemours products to internal stakeholders

You will monitor business activities to verify regulatory compliance deadlines and requirements are met

You will directly engage with the regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders

You will get the chance to interface with service providers
-
You will contribute to the development of regulatory recommendations and decisions to relevant stakeholders

You will create and deliver training to business unit stakeholders to increase their regulatory awareness
The following is
required for this role:

Advanced degrees (MS/PhD) are preferred, but not required
-
10+ years work experience in the regulatory compliance field, such as U.S. TSCA
-
Track record of successful regulatory submissions
-
Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences effectively
-
Proven excellent project management skills and tools
-
Ability to support a complex product portfolio for an international company
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Results oriented individual
