A Regional Controller job in Harrisburg, PA with expectations of a few days of travel weekly to Gratz, PA is available at the MITER BRAND Companies (Milgard Windows and Doors, MI Window and Doors, and Sunrise Milgard Windows and Doors). This position will be responsible for both the Hegins and the Gratz locations. These two facilities are roughly $500,000 million in revenue and are combined the largest source of the product in the company. You will direct and oversee all financial activities of the assigned Division including the preparation of various financial reports and provide financial and accounting leadership/support to plant management in maximizing operational efficiency and profitability. The base salary compensation for this opportunity is depending on experience, total compensation includes a health and benefits package with a yearly bonus opportunity.

Regional Controller responsibilities include:

• Directs the preparation of regional financial reports including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, margin analysis, customer profitability analysis, etc.
• Analyzes location financial, operations, and sales results and partners with functional leaders to identify performance gaps, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvement
• Ensures the location has adequate internal controls to address financial statement risk, fraud risk, and protection of company assets
• Develops and delivers presentations covering monthly financial results, sales and financial forecasts, and contribution margin results. Directs the preparation of regional financial reports including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, margin analysis, customer profitability analysis, etc.
• Uses generally accepted accounting practices and corporate policy to audit plant financial activity.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities and validates savings achieved during these events
• Acts as financial advisor to plant and regional management. Advises and participates in the development and execution of profit improvement strategies and tactics.
• Works with location management to develop monthly financial forecasts and annual operating plans
• Works with the location management team to implement goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and accounting
• Participates in the justification review of capital spending projects. Audits and forecasts capital spending in accordance with the corporate capital budget.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related degree; MBA and/or CMA/CPA are desirable.
• The ideal candidate will have at least five years of accounting experience with at least three years of experience managing the finance function (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting) over multiple manufacturing plants.
• A hands-on manager with strong integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
• Ability to manage multiple projects to completion with sound business judgment.
• An effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information.
