Job description
The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for attracting and acquiring the best possible talent for positions in the organization. This will be achieved through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources, as well as developing and executing new, creative recruiting methods.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting process including candidate sourcing, phone interviews, interview scheduling, follow-up, status communication, negotiating & extending employment offers.
- Update and maintain job descriptions for US and Canadian locations.
- Develop effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent while maintaining and building our bench strength.
- Network through industry contacts, college/trade school contacts, association memberships, trade groups, career fairs, and current employees.
- Efficiently and effectively fill open positions, as well as develop a pipeline of candidates ahead of hiring needs.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Research and recommend compensation adjustments as needed to ensure Cove is competitive in the market.
- Utilize creative sourcing techniques to present qualified resumes (social networks, TIKTOK, Instagram, Facebook, source from competitors) Advertise the rewarding benefits of working at Cove Communities.
- Positively represent the organization by creating an exceptional candidate experience throughout the interview process.
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications. Complete reference checks as needed.
- Create offer letters for candidates in the US and Canada and work alongside the HR team to distribute.
- Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
- Update and maintain Cove’s messaging and brand on all recruiting platforms including UKG, Indeed, and Glassdoor.
- Update and maintain Cove’s interview guide and ensure compliance with employment laws in regulations.
- Provide recruiting training as needed for Cove’s management team.
Education & Experience & Qualifications
- 2 years of recruiting experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Deep understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Candidate Management Systems
- Experience with UKG Pro Recruiting a plus
- Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing)
- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills with attention to detail and follow through
