The Quality Assurance organization provides a variety of services aimed at helping its internal customers, S&C leaders and team members, deliver superior quality to our customers. Quality planning, inspection, audit, quality information, quality improvement consulting, and quality communications are examples of the kind of services that the organization provides.

The Quality System Manager has two main responsibilities. The first is to ensure that the day to day activities required to run the Quality Assurance business are being effectively executed and in line with S&C’s Quality System, and ISO 9001. The second is to lead improvement activities in the Quality Management system, finding gaps where they might exist and using effective problem solving techniques to close them.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Global Quality

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintain and generate reports on the various outputs of the Quality Management system, highlighting key metrics and the Global organization’s overall quality performance
• Coordinate with global facility leaders to support preparation, improvement, and maintenance of ongoing 3rd party certification to ISO 9001
• Reviewing and maintaining all quality related documentation supporting the Quality Management System
• Planning and executing internal and external Quality Management System audits
• Lead the development and implementation of corrective actions and systemic improvements based on audit findings across the Global Organization
• Analyzing the outputs of the Quality Management System to find and execute improvement opportunities
• Lead, advise and/or assist with four-step problem solving activities within the organization
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for improvement of the Quality Management System within the overall strategy of the Global Quality organization

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

• Bachelor degree in technical discipline, Engineering a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to represent S&C in a professional manner
• Demonstrated expertise in problem solving
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Quality Management Systems such as ISO:9001
• Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze quality data and report on results relevant to the quality organization
• Demonstrated ability to seek out and implement quality system improvements
• ASQ certification(s) preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task
• Experience in a Quality role at a manufacturer of electronic components or devices, is a plus

• Standing: Occasional standing when observing processes on the shop floor.
• Walking: May walk extensively during Go and See activities.
