Job description

We’re hiring a full time, motivated Electrical Project Manager that pays attention to detail along with the ability to handle multiple projects, managers and wiremen. Must possess strong organizational skills. Strong customer relation skills are a must. The successful candidate will work with our project team to ensure projects are within the scope and budget for the project. Candidate must be able to manage schedules, including positive and negative schedule impacts and the consequences of such. Forward thinking candidates that can bring innovative ideas will be strongly considered. Past experience in construction is a must and electrical experience is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing various electrical contracting projects – commercial, educational, health care
• Coordination with General Contractors and other trades
• Manage sub-contractors and vendors
• Coordinate and track budgets, resources, deadlines and deliverables
• Apply for job site permits and call-in inspections
• Reviewing project documents for clarity & completeness - examples include project blueprints, contracts, take-offs, requisitions, and bill of materials.
• Attend project meetings
• Perform site inspections to ensure the job is holding to plans, budget and schedule
• Reviewing project and contract budgets for adequacy, completeness and other requirements
• Ensure safety standards and procedures are being followed
• Process change orders, RFIs, and submittals
• Monitor the Project to ensure planned tasks are completed.
• Providing Management with Project status (scope, budget & schedule) and identification of issues
• Communicating project goals, priorities and decisions

SKILLS DESIRED

• 2-5 years experience in Project Management
• If no experience, Bachelor's degree in business. engineering, finance, construction management, or related field
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication skills
• Leadership Skills
